Undeniably Progressive Rock, but with a faintly gothic and rather beautiful take on the genre, their first album, Ignis Fatuus was released in 1995. Initially a group of friends gathered together trying to find a sound that suited them, it is nonetheless an excellent combination of styles – from folk / rock, to classical pastiches and full-on prog, using mainly female vocalists. An invitation to Progfest in California necessitated a live band, but after the festival the band split and the next, album, Ex Tenebris, was essentially a somewhat Gothic solo album by guitarist Jacob Holm Lupo. It did, however, introduce singer Sylvia Ericssen.
Jacob and Sylvia gathered a full band around them for 2000s Sacrament probably the bands most accessible, symphonic album, and this was the line up that played the Nearfest festival in Bethlehem, Pennsylvannia, USA in 2001. Further line-up changes, including the recruitment of virtuoso keyboardist Lars Fredrik Froislie, led to 2004s "Storm Season" an intense yet still-accessible slice of metal-tinged progressive rock, which featured their best material to date. The band will release album number 5 “Signal to Noise” in August 2006, their first with superb new singer Trude Eidtang. The band may not be prolific, but they are always worth the wait.
