Head (Netherlands)
The
wonderful Flamborough Head from Holland will headline the afternoon session
of the Sunday at Summers End.

The band has been in existence since 1995, but since the turn of the millenium,
when the band recruited Margriet Boomsma as lead vocalist and flautist,
the band have truly found an unique voice amongst progressive rock bands.
While their four albums show a progression in terms of their lush, melodic
arrangements, albeit with a strong Genesis influence, it is the two "One
for the Crow" and "Tales of Imperfection" with Margriet
that are most worthy of attention, her voice and multi-instrumental prowess
suggesting a rockier Renaissance with a nod back to fellow-countrymen
Focus.
An excellent band, for lovers of sweeping, lush, melodic progressive rock,
with plenty of epic tracks.
