It’s not often that a progressive rock festival gets to boast a band signed to a major label, but here we have one in the wonderful Pure Reason Revolution from Reading, signed to Sony in the UK.
This young five piece band have stunned the indie rock circuit, combining crunching rock with Beach Boy-style harmonies, lengthy compositions and whirling space rock. Their debut album, The Dark Third, also has genuinely lyrical moments. Though very different from traditional progressive rock, their music is winning a strong following amongst prog enthusiasts, as a recent support slot with Pallas showed.
Expect an intense ride when they bring their dynamic, fluid live show to Summers End.
